Like demand for Passive House construction, Passive House Massachusetts is growing! I am so excited to announce that PHMass has hired our first Education Program Director, Beth Campbell.
Beth is a seasoned construction professional and educator, with practical experience delivering projects. Starting her career 20 years ago with “tool bags on,” Beth has served as an Estimator, Project Engineer, and Project Manager for pioneering green building firms. As Special Projects Manager at Unity Homes and Bensonwood, she helped advance the field of high-performance panelized construction. And as a Client Success Manager at Seamless she led an extensive research program to understand how to help the construction sector build more zero energy buildings.
Beth has a longstanding commitment to the Passive House movement. She is currently a Board Member for Passive House Rhode Island, and was previously the Vice President of Passive House Northwest for five years. She is not only a Phius-certified Passive House builder herself, but also a Phius builder certification instructor, helping to design and deliver effective training to people around the country. We couldn’t be happier to have Beth joining our team, bringing her knowledge and drive to Massachusetts.
Education is at the core of Passive House Massachusetts’ mission. As Education Program Director, Beth will lead our efforts to support contractors, designers, developers, policymakers, and others as we accelerate the deployment of Passive House techniques across the state. This work is supported by crucial grants, like the $1 million we have been awarded by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, which will enable us to ramp up our training efforts over the next three years.
We are only able to expand because of grants like this, combined with the generous support of our members. If you want to support Beth’s work at PHMass, please consider becoming an Individual Member today, or encouraging your employer to become a Corporate Member. And if you want to meet Beth and the rest of the Passive House Massachusetts community, we invite you to join us at our Annual Symposium on December 10th.
