Passive House Massachusetts is excited to announce the date for its next Passive House Symposium, which will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

The theme for this year’s Symposium will be “Raising Standards, Lowering Costs.”

Passive House buildings can deliver superior comfort, health, resilience, efficiency, and durability for minimal additional cost (especially when it comes to new multi-family buildings). And the additional costs that do exist (which a recent study by MassCEC found are only 2-3% compared with business-as-usual) can be covered by incentives and operational savings. But as costs rise across the construction industry, and new teams start building Passive for the first time, how do we ensure that Passive House projects continue to be cost-competitive? Our 2025 Symposium will focus on this critical question, looking at cost control strategies from across the project lifecycle.
