Alexander Gard-Murray
Executive Director alexander@phmass.org
Alexander is a building decarbonization advocate, researcher, and educator. He was previously the Director of the Greenhouse Institute, where he was a leader in a national movement to accelerate space heating electrification. Before that he taught and researched energy policy in the Government Department at Harvard and the Climate Solutions Lab at Brown. Alexander holds a Doctorate in Politics and a Master’s in Politics Research from Oxford, and a Bachelor’s in Politics from Brown.


Beth Campbell

Starting her career 20 years ago with “tool bags on,” Beth has served as an Estimator, Project Engineer, and Project Manager for pioneering green building firms. As Special Projects Manager at Unity Homes and Bensonwood, she helped advance the field of high-performance panelized construction. And as a Client Success Manager at Seamless she led an extensive research program to understand how to help the construction sector build more zero energy buildings. Beth has a longstanding commitment to the Passive House movement. She is currently the President of Passive House Rhode Island, and was previously the Vice President of Passive House Northwest for five years. Beth is also Phius-certified Passive House builder and a Phius builder certification instructor, helping to design and deliver effective training to people around the country.

Aaron Gunderson
Aaron is the principal and founder of PassiveZero, which offers education and consulting services for sustainable building design and construction, specializing in Passive House, Net-Zero, and Low-Carbon projects. Prior to founding PassiveZero, he served for nearly a decade as the Executive Director of Passive House Massachusetts. He is also a Founding Board Member and Instructor at the Studio for High Performance Design and Construction. He is a Certified Passive House Tradesperson and an accredited LEED professional with prior experience in community outreach & development for clean-tech companies and solar power installers. He holds a Master’s in Sustainability from Harvard University where he focused on sustainable building design, embodied carbon and energy analysis, greenhouse gas reporting, and community-level climate adaptation. He currently lives in Chicago with his wife and young son.
