Phius Certified Builder Training and Certification Exam

The Phius CPHB Certification is meant for tradespeople and construction professionals with field experience. The training is open to all with past experience in construction and/or high performance building.

Prerequisites: The training is open to all with past experience in construction and/or high performance building.

Learning Objectives (4):

• High performance building enclosure systems with an emphasis on field inspection
• Air barriers and passive building retrofitting
• Quality assurance and quality control strategies
• Climate-specific detailing

Weeks 1-2: Complete 8 hours of self-paced modules, laying the foundation of knowledge on building science, passive building principles and Phius Certification.

Weeks 3-4: Attend 8, three-hour instructor-led live sessions (24 hours total) for a deep dive on high performance enclosures, envelope field considerations, high performance mechanical systems, cost optimization and project management.

Weeks 5-8: Certification Exam
