Cracking the Code: An Update on Passive House and Codes in Massachusetts

We’re thrilled to invite you to our PHMass Monthly Meeting on Tuesday, February 11th, from 5:30–7:30 PM at the BSA Space in Boston. Join Paul Ormond from the Department of Energy Resources as he provides essential updates and guidance on Massachusetts’ energy codes, including:

• An overview of Specialized and Stretch Code adoption and what’s next in the state
• A clear layout of Incentives available to passive house certified projects—including early design review opportunities

This is a hybrid in-person and virtual event:

• We’ll kick things off with an in-person social half hour from 5:30–6:00 PM, where you can connect with fellow professionals and passive house enthusiasts.
• From 6:00–7:00 PM, we’ll dive into our presentation “Cracking the Code – An Update on Passive House and Codes in Massachusetts.”

As part of our “All-in!” theme for 2025, this session will explore how passive house adoption is transforming the design and construction industry in Massachusetts—and how you can stay ahead in this rapidly evolving landscape.
