Utile seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Building Performance Specialist to support our growing Passive House work and advance our integrated sustainability efforts on a wide variety of projects. The daily responsibilities will include conducting analysis work and communicating complex ideas to project teams and clients, under the guidance of the Director of Sustainable Design. As a new position in our firm, we are looking for someone who can grow into this specialized role.
• Provide support to project teams for sustainable design and building performance analysis
• Serve as a resource for solar and daylight analysis at various stages of project design
• Support early-phase sustainability compliance documentation, such as LEED checklists and narrative writing for proposals
MassCEC Seeks Consultants for Building Decarbonization Work
The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) is seeking vendors to provide technical and programmatic support for its work on establishing pathways to decarbonize all buildings in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Technical and program support may be in the form of research to help inform future MassCEC programs or support for a current initiative. MassCEC seeks to pre-qualify professionals that can provide the services under the following focus areas:
- Program Strategy and Development
- Technical Expertise
- Monitoring and Evaluation
- Workforce Development
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- Marketing, Outreach, and Engagement
Note: This RFQ will pre-qualify eligible respondents to bid for scopes related to MassCEC’s building decarbonization work that are under $100,000. MassCEC intends to conduct stand alone request for proposals for any scope over $100,000.

Petersen Engineering Seeks Project Manager/Senior Mechanical/HVAC Engineer
PEI has more than doubled in size over the past two years. In 2019 we added in-house electrical engineering capability to serve our clients more seamlessly. Having full MEP/FP services in-house has enhanced our appeal to existing and new clients. We currently employ six Certified Passive House Consultants, a testament to our progressive, whole building approach to our work. We are currently working on several occupied deep energy retrofits. We are also collaborating on more than 15 Passive House projects ranging in size from 24,000 to 340,000 square feet and from 25 to 330 units.
